
2020 Marsanne Roussanne
Tasting Notes
Aromatic and complex, this wine reveals nuances of honeysuckle, camomile tea and preserved lemons. Marsanne contributes to the blend with texture and generosity in the blend with ripe peaches and beeswax flavours while the Roussanne adds definition and a delicate saline note.
Textural, satisfying and persistent this wine is our take on a Rhone Valley classic.
Winemaking
A blend of 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne. The Marsanne was pressed to old French oak barrels and the Roussanne was macerated with the skins before being transferred to a concrete vessel for fermentation. Both components were matured on fine lees over winter for extra complexity and texture. Blended and bottled in spring.
