Vineyard: The Shiraz fruit was picked in the early hours of the morning from our
Calgardup Brook Vineyard. It was gently pressed to tank, and a slow and
cool fermentation was encouraged. Improved texture was achieved by
an extended time on fine lees over the winter months. Bottled in August
2026 and just in time for Summer.
A season of balance that shaped fresh and flavoursome wines with lifted perfumes, vibrant colours and great intensity. Abundant rainfalls in winter and favourable weather in spring encouraged healthy vine growth and good yields. Summer was mild, with warm and breezy days followed by cool night, allowing our grapes to develop excellent aromatic and flavour complexity across all our white varietals yet retaining impressive tension and natural acidity. The Marri blossom was abundant and bird pressure low, so we were able to harvest red grapes in ideal conditions. All reds, and particularly Cabernet Sauvignon show strong varietal definition, perfect tannin ripeness and great aging potential.
