Since settling in the Margaret River region in 2009, Clarice has been proud to champion local wine tourism. Her journey began as a tour director with Harvest Tours before joining McHenry Hohnen’s original cellar door on Caves Road in 2012. Now based in Witchcliffe, she's passionate about offering guests an authentic and educational tasting experience that reflects our values, vineyards and biodynamic practices.
Over the years, Clarice has proudly represented McHenry Hohnen at events like the Good Food and Wine Show and Cabin Fever Festival, and she currently serve as Secretary of the Margaret River Wine Cellar Door Managers Association. She loves working collaboratively with other local producers and believes we all contribute to what makes the South West so special.

Under Clarice's guidance, our Witchcliffe cellar door has undergone a major transformation – from tractor shop to vibrant tasting space, complete with a mobile bar, vineyard soil displays, vertical tastings and audiovisual storytelling. She also established our Walk-In Wine Club for locals, deepening community connections and creating repeat visitation.
Beyond the cellar door, Clarice is committed to sustainability and responsible tourism. We compost winery waste, rely on solar power and rainwater, and stock only local products. We regularly host food trucks, support local groups and events and contribute to the Witchy Vintage Fair.
Clarice prioritises genuine hospitality and her goal is simple: to ensure every visitor leaves feeling inspired by the Southern Margaret River Region and keen to return. Whether you’re here for a tasting, a chat, or just passing through, Clarice looks forward to sharing the McHenry Hohnen story with you.
“My goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, educational and truly connected to the land. I want every guest to leave feeling inspired by what the southern Margaret River region has to offer.”
